CUTTING AWAY FROM OUR ROOTS

There was so much I had to learn when we moved to the country. We had a lot of trees on our property that had never been pruned or cared for. Drought had caused the roots to surface above the ground in search of water. I failed to see their need, so I cut and discarded them. Not long afterward some of the good quality trees became weak, others died. I had cut and damaged their root system, interfering with their source of nutrition and hydration. When I put on the armour of God to protect myself from evil, He helped me enter into good relationships. I am blessed to have God's gift of loving relationships with family, friends, church members, co-workers and many more. Providing me a root system. A source of nutrition and hydration. But, there were times I met people having little or no communication with loved ones because of conflicts or feuds. Many passed away with unresolved issues. The lack of peace in these situations was sad. It seems a privilege to maintain healthy, wholesome relationships. The choice of CUTTING AWAY FROM OUR ROOTS can have adverse affects on many lives. Causing weakness or death of what may otherwise be good relationships. Part of inner peace is having peace with others.
